I am a biomedical engineer, with a research focus on protein engineering for gene therapy. My training is rooted in interdisciplinary science, combining biology, engineering, computation and quantitative problem-solving. Throughout my graduate career, I have been actively involved in teaching in several roles, including teaching assistant, discussion section leader, and guest lecturer.

I have taught in a range of instructional settings, including laboratory courses, small classroom or large lecture courses, and online formats, working with both undergraduate and graduate students. These experiences have helped me understand how different learning environments shape student engagement and understanding.

My teaching is guided by a few central commitments. I aim to understand the obstacles students face when learning complex material and to recognize that students use different study strategies and learning modes. I also strive to create a supportive classroom environment where students feel comfortable discussing their struggles and challenges, so they can develop confidence alongside technical skills.
